Is vegetable oil good for hamsters?

Would giving a dwarf hamster vegetable oil improve their health.Is vegetable oil good for hamsters?
I don't think so and have never seen that recommended. You would be much better providing a good rounded hamster mix together with a small but regular amount of fruit and vegetables. You can also get hamster-specific vitamin supplements for their food or water. For advice on feeding see:

However, it wouldn't do them any harm if you used a small amount of it on their wheel to stop it squeaking as much (many people do this).Is vegetable oil good for hamsters?

i cant see how it would. or why you would want to give a hamster oil anyway :^S
it depends how hot it is - i prefer them roasted rather than deep fried
