I want to make brownies, however I forgot to pick up vegetable oil...?

What can I use in lieu of vegetable oil? My husband is craving brownies and I don't feel like running to the store, I need your help!I want to make brownies, however I forgot to pick up vegetable oil...?
I've used mayonnaise! You don't notice any taste, it just gives the body and moisture that oil does. So if the mix or recipe says 1/4 cup oil, I would use two heaping tablespoons of mayo.I want to make brownies, however I forgot to pick up vegetable oil...?
This has happened to me, but luckily I always have some crisco shoved into the back of the cabinet with the baking supplies, I just melted it to a liquid so I could get the measurement right.

You could try melted margarine, though don't take my word for it, I've never tried it.
I usually use the same amount of applesauce and there is no difference in taste.
Crisco shortening will work or mayonnaise.

There is a chocolate cake recipe using mayonnaise I bet you would enjoy. I had it once and it was super moist and delish. Perhaps at the Hellman's Mayonnaise site.
Usually you can replace oil with applesauce or pumpkin puree. I've always used a one-to-one swap on the amount and things turn out fine.
you can use olive oil instead it tastes the same!

and for fancier ';brownies';

Mini Chocolate Lava Cakes

1 陆 cups semisweet chocolate chips

1 stick butter

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup sugar

3 tablespoons flour

1/4 teaspoon salt

4 eggs

butter cooking spray-- just use melted butter

1 tablespoon cocoa powder

8 strawberries, cut into slices- optional

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

Microwave the chocolate and butter in the bowl for 2-3 minutes or until melted . Stir in vanilla.

In a large mixing bowl, combine sugar, flour and salt. Sift these into the chocolate and mix well with electric hand mixer. Add eggs one at time, fully incorporating each egg before adding the next. Beat at high until batter is creamy and lightens in color, approximately 4 minutes. Chill mixture for at least 2 hours.

Coat the top and each cup of the muffin tin with cooking spray. Dust with the cocoa powder and shake out excess. Spoon mixture into pan using a 4-ounce scoop or ladle. Bake for 10 to 11 minutes. Outsides should be cake-like and centers should be gooey. To remove: flip over tin onto a hard surface covered with wax paper. Top with strawberries.

*If serving, melt 陆 cup of semisweet chocolate chips and then drizzle over muffins; sprinkle with powdered sugar
applesauce is always used as a lower fat replacement to oil. I would look up the ratio of applesauce to oil though, can't remember, I think it is one Cup. If you don't have applesauce, give melted butter or olive oil a whirl.
