Crisco shortening or Crisco oil?
It depends on what you are making. For example, if you are making a pie crust and the recipe calls for Crisco shortening, I would not substitute Crisco oil for Crisco shortening.
If the recipe just calls for Crisco oil, you can substitute another vegetable oil. (Crisco is a just a brand name.)1/2 cup vegetable oil for crisco?
In most things, probably an OK sub. But not in pie crust or other pastries!1/2 cup vegetable oil for crisco?
