Veg.oil is much more expensive than crude (1 barrell=40gal @ $100 a barrel thats only $2.50 a gallon) try to find veg oil for .625 a quart.Why must we only use Iraqi oil? Why can't we use vegetable oil?

There is no way with current technology that enough vegetable oil could be produced to meet the current demand for diesel fuel. To do so would require a vast amount of increase in crop land to grow the required amount of grain to meet the need.
