Most ( the better ones ) use peanut oil. I would guess that some of the take-out-only ones do use vegetable oil instead. It's cheaper.Do most chinese restaurants uses vegetable oil to cook?
It depends on the country your in, here in North America it is canola, soya and vegetable oil, in some country peanut oil is common, I worked in Asia and they use a number, veg, soya, palm and coconut even groundnuts as form of peanut oil. Animal fats like lard and beef tallow are not common, unless you in a small village in China or Thailand were pork is the staple of the diet, they do use it in pastry's and baking.
In most country's vegetable type oils are the cheapest, palm and coconut oils are used in Asian country's as it is available and does have a higher heat level.Do most chinese restaurants uses vegetable oil to cook?
the only thing i can think of containing any animal fat is just that rendered pork ,beef or any animal fat would be considered lard and not oil, other than that i would say yes they would use some oil containing animal fat since lots of animal meat has been cooked in it ,and more than likely its been reused for other fry's
most chinese restaurants use Peanut oil (Arachide) or Sesame Oil.
The use the Cheapest oil they can buy.
