yes you can substitute the butter for the oil....your brownies will be fluffier......you can also substitute the vegetable oil with apple sauce if you would like....

my sister in law made her brownies with apple sauce and they were good....I think they were a tad bit more fluffier but they were goodI'm making brownies and i dont have vegetable oil..can i use butter???
If you have Apple Sauce use thatI'm making brownies and i dont have vegetable oil..can i use butter???
Butter has more cholesterol.
yes, but they will be like cake
yes
yes as long as you grease the pan well and put a 1 stick of butter in the batter!!!
The butter will tend to burn and make the brownies turn nuttier and a darker color. If you happen to have some extra virgin olive oil around you could sub with it and not have any ';olive oil'; taste. You could melt butter, as half the required amount of vegetable oil, and the other half as margarine and still make out just as well.
You can substitute apple sauce for the oil. It is a healthier alternative and they taste just as great!
personally I would use margarine it is ';whipped '; veg table oil

use the same amount of margarine as you would oil.
You can use applesauce it makes them more moist. Not as fattening either.
