My dog just drank vegetable oil?

I have a 2 month Siberian Husky and there was a cup of vegetable oil lying down and she went to drank it. What should I do and will my puppy get sick?My dog just drank vegetable oil?
It'll probably give her the squirts. Call your vet. Never a dumb question about your pet.My dog just drank vegetable oil?
She'll probably get sick. Be prepared for a lot of walks outside, if get her there in time, because all that oil will go through quicker than you can get a leash on her.
The best possible thing is to take her to the vet because vegetable oil will come out faster than it went in and she will be quite ill. Dioreah in one so young can be quite nasty as they do not have the same body weight to take it. The vet will be able to help you with electrolites and something to stop the dioreah that will be coming very soon.
She will have loose stools, but that's probably about it. If she is going a lot and seems lethargic a trip to the vet may be in order to prevent dehydration. Most likely she will be okay though - vegetable oil is actually reccomended to help dogs pass objects that they shouldn't have eaten, so it is not harmful in and of itself.
It will loosen the bowels a bit, but actually it will not make her sick. Fat and Oil are important for a dogs skin and hair. I add oil to my dogs food each nite (per my new vet and my retired vet) in order to help her skin from drying out in the AZ heat.

While she got WAY to much all at once, she will be fine.
she'll get loose stools. that'll probably be it. but if it gets horrible take her to the vet, because diarrhea can cause dehydration.
if it was just plain vegtable oil and nothing had been cooked in it. nevermind why you had a cup of vegtable oil in a cup laying around. your pup should be fine. she may have loose stools for a day or so, but should be fine. make sure she drinks plenty of water and eats normal. if she's vomiting continiously or the loose stools become more and more frequent consult your vet. good luck.
