If you mean using straight vegetable oil, then probably no. Vegetable oil is more viscous than diesel, and can gum up your lines or your pump might not push enough vegetable oil into the cylinders to even start the engine. See the links below for more information.
True bio-diesel means mixing vegetable oil with diesel.
