I am baking brownies when all of the sudden i realize that the instructions call for Vegetable Oil, but i dont have any! But i do have Canola Oil and Olive Oil, can these substitute for Vegetable Oil? By the way i am only 13, and my mom is at work so i cannot exactly ask her.... so please help! Can canola oil be substituted for vegetable oil?
I do it all the time and there's no difference in taste or texture. Can canola oil be substituted for vegetable oil?
Yes they can be used, I don't have vegetable oil either so I always use canola oil. Usually olive oil has a taste, so you may not want your brownies to have that taste. Hope this helped :)
Absolutely. Canola is supposed to be somewhat healthier than vegetable oil but makes no difference at all in cooking.
